NEWBORN SESSIONS
Our newborn sessions take a gentle approach to capturing the beauty and innocence of your newborn. They certainly don’t stay little for long and that is why it is our true passion to capture your baby in the first weeks of their life. We want you to have beautiful images, that you can treasure for many years to come. We love what we do, and pride ourselves on ensuring your photo shoot will be a memorable experience. It is an honour and a joy to be given this opportunity, and to meet so many lovely families. We can’t wait to meet you and your new little treasure and document this beautiful time for you.

OUR STUDIO
A little Boho Sanctuary
Based at the foot of Mt Dandenong in Kilsyth, Victoria, our studio is the perfect choice to celebrate and document your sweet new baby. The whole session will be about them and your family together.
The studio is a sanctuary of warmth and beauty, our earthy-bohemian vibe, with quiet colours, and natural textures have appealed to families to help them relax in the studio, and settle in as if they were in their own home. The newborn sessions usually take around 2 hours allowing time for settling and feeding, with baby leading the session depending on their needs.
Siblings are very welcome in these sessions, as they are such an important part of your family’s story, and love to be a part of the process.
Our studio is kept toasty warm keep baby settled and comfortable. We also have a large variety of sweet baby clothes and wraps that we use in our sessions. As well as an extensive selection for the mums, there’s nothing quite like wearing a beautiful dress, to make you feel wonderful and amazing in your session. We also have a few neutral shirts for the dads, and some limited small size outfits for children.
FAQS
WHEN DO WE BOOK OUR SESSION?
We fill our calendars up to 6+ months in advance so please do get in touch sooner rather than later to secure a spot in our schedule! Once booked, we schedule your session in 2 weeks after your due date. Dates can be changed if your baby arrives early or late. The booking fee of $150 is paid upon initial booking and you will be invoiced for the base package a week before your session.
DO WE NEED TO BRING ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR?
We have lots of beautiful wraps and baby clothes etc.. in our studio but we love to incorporate any meaningful items into the session if you would like to bring them along. For example, heirloom or specially made blankets and clothes.
WHAT DO WE WEAR?
When you book a newborn session with us, you also gain access to the client wardrobe. You are welcome to book two dresses for your session, and additional dresses may incur a cleaning fee. We do have options for dads and younger children too.
CAN WE BRING OUR OTHER CHILDREN?
Absolutely! Siblings are most welcome. As the newborn session does go for 1-2 hours we do recommend they come for photos and are taken by a parent/grandparent to have a play outside or provided with some sort of quiet entertainment as it can become a bit boring for them.
HOW LONG DOES A SESSION GO FOR?
Allow up to 2 hours for your session.
CAN WE CHOOSE THE COLOURS THAT ARE USED IN OUR SESSION?
Our studio style is very earthy but some people love to use more whites and creams and others are drawn to the darker moodier tones and we love both. All of our tones are very neutral but you are welcome to look through our photos and if theres anything in particular you prefer, let us know before your session.
WHEN WILL WE SEE OUR PHOTOS?
Your gallery will be ready for viewing within 2-3 weeks of your session, and in the meantime Karen will post sneak peeks on instagram, unless you would prefer not to.
